Galen decoded my car for the previous owner and his report shows that it was a factory 426 street wedge with a 4 speed. One of the things that always amazed me is the crude hole in the floor above the transmission. It looks like someone at the factory took a torch and blew a hole in the hump in the floorboard, and then welded on the 4 speed hump. Is that typical of a factory 4 speed installation? It sure looks crappy. BTW....The previous owner did replace some of the floorboards, but not in that area above the transmission....Brian '64 Belvedere Davenport, Iowa "The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little extra." ---- Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
