The 1965 switch is just a single wire switch with the later models using three wires. What I did with my 65 is use the later model switch and harness. I just trimmed off the two outside wires (they're for the reverse lights) The center terminal is the one that grounds the starter relay when the transmission is in Park or Neutral.

I have checked all the local parts stores without success for a neutral safety switch to fit my '65 727. Does anybody know where I might find one? I don't believe that the later model switches will work with the cable operated rooster comb.'65 Coronet 500 stroker ________________________________________________________________________Check Out the new free AIM(R) Mail -- Unlimited storage and industry-leading spam and email virus protection.[Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ----Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
