Thanks Tom & Gary,
Well today I needed a break so I drove out to the Chrysler Convention
held in Vernon, CT. Penstar Reproductions was there and provided me with
the proper grommet and I've just completed the 15 minute replacemnt.
Gary, here's your info. For replacement gas tanks with a 2 1/4" opening,
and a filler tube with a 2" diameter you may use the following;
Penstar Reproductions: 63-69B 67-74A 71-74B Filler Tube Grommet All
Models $16.00
I also want to add that yesterday I contacted Kramer's. Cindy in sales
went out of her way to measure the grommets they have in stock and send
them out to me so my project could stay on schedule. I was impressed by
there service and tech support on a late saturday afternoon. She also
informed me that their Max Wedge Hood Scoop is out of stock. They are
refreshing the mold to insure the quality of this scoop is the best
available. The new run of scoops is expected by the first of the new
year.
Also Steve Kisiel of Ingelside, IL. that sells Mopar repro gas tanks on
Ebay too went out of his way late saturday night putting gromments
together to send out to me.
All in the good name of the 1962 to 1995 Mopar Site helping others.
Thank You,
Nick Tiberio
