Do you mean you want to put one in the console? I wouldn't know how to do that, but on my ride I bought a nice aftermarket chrome tach in a pod and attached it to my steering column with a large hose clamp.

    So my 65 Sport Fury did not come with the factory tach (on the center console ahead of the shifter if everyone remembers).  I want to put a tach in there, has anyone had any experience with this?  Is this an easy mod?
