jeff, the box they ship the scoop in is bigger and heavier than that. they reinfore the vacant areas and pack it to avoid damage. mine was shipped to iowa and was 40.00, but it was in prefect shape. maybe someone else will ship cheaper,but i havent found them. savoy58@xxxxxxx
