If they are pressed in from behind, usually a good airhammer with the right attachment should knock them out, then you can install them in the new drums using the same tool. I don't remember if they are pressed in like this or not, been too long.

  My understanding is you have to press out the lug bolts as they are sweged 
  (sp) in after the drum is on..... I was told this when I bought new drums
