William, what size bore master cylinder did you use? Do you have a very 
hard pedal? The larger the bore of the master cylinder the firmer your 
pedal will be but more pressure will be required. If you don't have 
power brakes you should be using a 1" or a 1 1/32" bore master cylinder. 
I had a 1 1/32" bore on a 66 Belvedere I converted with manual disc 
brakes and it stopped easier than the 66 Charger I had with 11" power 
drum brakes. Some power disc brake cars use a 
1 1/8" master. In this case size does matter!
