My guess is that the person restoring the 63 wagon, got a pair of door
panel tags from a 65 and thought they would look good on the 63.
Using the Coronet name also simplifies the ident of the car. Using 440
as a model name confuses most folks who assume that the engine is a 440
(whether it is a leaning engine or not).
I've had a lot of people (especially teenagers) look at my poly engine
and point to the wide block and tell their friends "look at the 440".
