Just as Kevin said, take extra precautions to avoid burns. That's about it. The welder will act as normal.

I don't recall doing anything special for welding upside down.
I'm assuming what you are talking about is you laying on your back and
welding under the car (or something like that scenario).
As a pointer, cover youself with welding leather. I wore a sweatshirt
and laid down to weld on my trunk extension panels. Not long after I
flipped my welding helmet down, I was immersed in the project and forgot
that I was laying under the weld.
It was likely 10-15 minutes into the weldingn that I felt warm and then
I felt stabs of pain.
The sparks and splatter had started my sweatshirt on fire and the stabs
of pain was the splatter touching my six pack abs (okay 24 abs). With
the visor down I could not even see the flames. I did nnot get hurt but
became very aware of the hazards that are not apparent if you are above
the weld.
