I will try the treatment on a small area of a side trim piece. /Butch/Ferndale, WA -----Original Message----- From: moparbikeguy@xxxxxxx [mailto:moparbikeguy@xxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, February 14, 2007 5:06 PM To: 1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: anodized aluminum trim It is thin anodized aluminum just like the grill and the side trim pieces. I experimented on a spare Coronet headlight door that was milky white from weathering. Started cleaning with mineral spirits and 00 steel wool. Next with 000 and finally 0000 steel wool. I then sprayed clear gloss lacquer on it and it really looks good. I would guess that a two part clear coat would be even shinier and a lot more durable.
