Re: Rustoleum paint job

I will say that my good friend Tom painted his Ford HiBoy pick-up with a paint called Hammer-rite. His truck was well used and he did not want to have a show truck paint job. He spent an afternoon sanding the old truck and stripping the trim. He then had a buddie with an old sprayer thin the thick paint and spray it on. It turned out great ! For a work truck it was perfect. Unusual YES!!! It had a slight texture to the surface but looked great. The paint is SUPER tough. I think he spent something like $125.00 on the whole job. Just my 2 cents worth. P.S. The parts are slowly coming together for the '64 Savoy Maxxie I am working on. I plan on starting the whole project late next summer. My present project is a '49 Packard that I am rodding. I am trying to get it done before the end of March as we are wanting to take it to Viva Los Vegas in April.
