Re: An exhausting situation

In past discussions, there have been favorable reports on different
aftermarket headers. I have tti headers on my '65 B-body. They are expensive, but the
quality is top-notch, the ceramic coating looks great. I have been to the
factory in Corona, Cal., they use state-of-the-art computer controlled
manufacturing processes that yield very consistent, properly fitting products. I have
had them on my 440-based engine for 5 years, no problems.

tti CEO Sam is a great guy, he helped me out after a well-meaning friend's
bad engine work caused the headers to discolor, they got so hot that the ceramic
coating was damaged. I wrote Sam about it, and he recoated them at no
charge. Plus, he added the internal thermal coating they had not received
originally, being an early production run set.

There are other brands that cost less and seem to be fine, but you can't go
wrong if you select the tti's.
