Definitely know you should balance with the flexplate or flywheel, but never heard of including the torque converter. Don, 64 Belvedere

I am wondering why u are supposed to mark the convertor/flexplate line up to maintain balance when u seperate motor from tranny ..u cant tell me that at the factory they are actually balancing the motor with the same convertor . or are they?? and then another balance question: what about the driveshaft, why doesnt that need marked when u drop it??
