RE: painting exhaust manifolds

Somebody here once said you have to apply the high-temp manifold paint 
and immediately bolt them on and fire them up, to burn the paint in.  
Also, I believe the Eastwood paint has a very short shelf life.  I think 
it says so on the label, but I can't remember.
