Hello Doug,I don't know about the trim codes, but may be able to answer when I get my "White books" in.
From the http://www.mymopar.com/paintcodes.htm site, they don't mention Rfor 1964 Dodge or Plymouth. In 1963 R was Coppertone Metallic for Plymouth, with no mention for Dodge. In 1965 R was Beige for Dodge with no mention for Plymouth. Perhaps others may be able to shed more light on the subject?
In a related matter, does anyone know where I can find the information on the paint, vinyl and cloth color specifications for the interior of the '62 Chryslers? I now have 5 of these Newports. and am trying to stay as close to original as possible.
A final item, (which if I wait I'm sure my white books will answer) is what TRM 304 and 404 are for 62 Chryslers?

I know "M1" means medium trim/bench seat , cloth/vinyl.. but what is the "0" I thought the 3rd char was a alphapetic character indicating color..,, or is this a cap. "o" ,, which I thought they didn't use to avoid confusion.. also: the "WW R" under the paint I know the "WW" is white body/ white roof., whats the "R"..., it is side sweep treatment.,, what color code was "R"..,,red was "P",, so whats "R"? ----Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
