Denso alt on a poly??

Has anyone swapped to the Denso alternator on their poly?  If so, did  the 
stock brackets work?  Or were the LA brackets required?  This is  something I'd 
really like to do and I'm wondering if anyone has actually tried  it yet.  I 
know the old style alternators can be had in high output  versions, but I'm 
looking at the 14 volts at idle aspect of the Denso  alternator.
