The Ford Mustang 8" and 9" is the same as the A-body from drum to drum and axle perch the axle perch. Granada is a little wider, like a B-body, but I thing the perches are the same as the Mustang.

This will seem WAY out there, but.....

Believe it or not, if you look for a ford 9" axle out of a granda,
monarch, some mustangs ect, you will find that the rear end is extremely
close to an A body 8 3/4 in terms of size and configuration. The main
difference being that the axles will be 5 on 4 1/2 bolt pattern. I have
been told that the granda axle is a near bolt in. Main problem is
driveshaft length.

You may scoff at putting a ford axle in your mopar, but , it will be
alot cheaper than the 8.75, plus there is no axle redrilling, and
steeper gears, and trac locs can be found in numerous ford pickups and
vans. (if you know how to look for em)

An 8.75 axle is still in my opinion a better axle than the 9" ford. But
for most street cars, the 9" will live indefinetly.

If I ever do another A body, I will probably go that route. you can buy
9" center chunks for less than $100 with trac locs if you know how to
find em.

Doc.
