hi all,

Im nearly complete on a complete motor restoration (with some upgrades) to a 63 stage II set up.
The cam will have approx 580 lift.
I notice the rockers are tapping the inside baffle of the valve covers (standard 4 bolt mw valve covers). im a bit surprised at there being a clearance problem with these valve covers. the cam isnt that radical, also yes , indy shafts and mp roller rockers.

have anyone else experienced this? if so what was your work around. i can hack up the actual baffle but there must be a more elegant solution.

does anyone know if someone makes a"stand off" shim about a quarter inch in thickness which would mount at the head casting along with a pair of gaskets just to raise the height of the valve cover? just a thought.

thanks
