That sounds like an excellent solution.  

I'd like to offer my experience with U.S. Radiator in Arizona, I have one of 
their "triple-flow" 26-inchers on my 495 wedge, no shroud yet on a flex-fan & 
I can sit in pretty bad SoCal street traffic and not go over 200f.  Most of 
the time, it's running 150-160.

They test their radiators in the Arizona desert, where it's often 130 
degrees, so they get a product that works very well.
