I installed a new 780 Holley and complete new electronic ignition in my
413 in the last 2 months. I've rejetted the carb, changed the squirter,
and adjusted the timing and carb till I'm blue in the face, but I can't
get rid of the flat spot between 1500-1800 rpm. When you let the clutch
out and the engine starts to load, that's where the flat spot is most
obvious. If you take off agressively, it's invisible. The engine has a
509 Huhges cam, headers, and a 2" carb spacer to adapt the Holley to the
original cast intake. I can't determine what's causing the flat spot, so
I don't know which direction to go from here...any ideas??? Bueller?
Bueller?
