Along the same thread, anyone have any idea what will fit under an early
(65) A Body. I am planning on using 15 in J Body 10 spoke wheels. I
estimate the maximum is going to be around 205-60 15s
Don
With that size you have:
section width: 8.07 in
diameter: 24.68 in
height: 4.84 in
Don, I currently have 14x6 rims running 215/60/14s on my 62 Lancer
front and rear with no rubbing. Compared to yours my numbers are:
section width: 8.46 in
diameter: 24.15 in
height: 5.07 in (obviously because of a 1" smaller wheel)
So yours should fit just fine assuming the right backspacing. I
believe mine are 3.5" for the 6" wide rim.
But, Menko, isn't the '62 Lancer a "B" body???
Don asked about a '65 "A" body, which would be the same as my '63 & '64
Darts. However, I have understood that the '62 Darts and Plymouth
Belvedere and Fury were "B" bodies, with the "A" body Darts and Valiants
starting in '63. I may be misinformed, but at some point this becomes
more than academic to me and I want to be sure and not buy tires and
wheels I can't use!
Anyone have more input??? Sources and references appreciated!
Thanks!!!
