well, the leak-down tester was the wrong plug size for my Poly motor, 
(figures) so, I gave it a compression test.
Results are- left bank #'s 1,3,5 & 7 respectively 75 lbs., 80 lbs., 91 
lbs. and a whopping 60 lbs. on #7!  )o:
right bank #'s 2,4,6 & 8 respectively 100 lbs., 75 lbs., 80 lbs. & 100 
lbs. Needless to say this is not good.
I guess it's time to build a better bottom end. Unfortunately I don't 
have much of a budget for this.
but, I do have a crank from a 360 motor and an extra Poly with a broken 
crank. Also, a set of .040 pistons &
rods for a 360, that probably won't fit in a Poly. And a 360 block that 
was bored .040. All this stuff has been
sitting around for awhile and will need to go to a machine shop to be 
cleaned up. Would regrinding the
360 crank for a stroker Poly be practical? Would be thankful to hear 
any Ideas or suggestions to cure
my Poly blues...
