I plan to refinish the hood latch assembly on my '64 Belvedere.  Would 
someone with an original car please tell me if it was cad plated from 
the factory?  If it was painted, what color was used?  Is the spring the 
same color as the latch, or was it painted black?  Thanks in advance for 
your help....Brian
