Yep hes right i forgot about the cast cranks that the 360 used, i dont
know if u have a motor/trans in there now or not but the cast crank has
to be balanced with the trans. 
Also , though the LA engines had the same exterior "LOOK" , the oil
pan of the 360 was different, due to the larger journal crank they
used and the resulting different caps. In other words u need an
actual "360" pan, not an " any ol' small block" pan.
