Gary: Saturday on the way to a car show. One of the cars in the group had a problem and we pulled over. The steering worked fine until I made a tight full lock left turn. While turning the steering wheel vibrated and it sounded like and felt like a tire rubbing. But was not. The pump fluid level was good and unchanged. Pressure would push a little past the reservoir cap when turning and backing up. The belt never slipped. So now before breaking it done, I may check the power steering control valve. The car drives normal in a straight line. Once you start a turn or back up to park it you have to pull really hard and muscle it. Before I start removing parts I need a proper diagnosis. The other test is that before I got this car the previous own put 1973 Charger front end components on it to have the disc breaks. So I don’t know what if any parts at 62 or 73. I posted this to you several years ago. -- -- -- Please address private email -- email of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. As old as the parts may be. The vehicle runs great mechanically and I’m hanging on to it. Therefore, since it is nearing the end of the car show season, it maybe time for me to rebuild the Pump, the Control Valve and the Steering gear box and the sources everyone is giving me are very useful. Thank you all very much for sources and any advice not yet received. Your a good helpful group!
