The guy had rebuilt a 318LA engine and Pat blais rebuilt the tranny. But hadnt got around to installing motor.  Hence the  "missing " torque convertor issue.  The motor and trany alone was worth what I paid for it. 
And the body on the thing is amazing, very solid and rust free, even the roof, which is a real issue on these things.  And darn near straight.  
   No worries, whatever issues or missing pieces I find, theres a complete  one lingering in a junkyard about 30 miles away.
    Really stoked to get it home and get cracking on this thing.

   Also would  the  torque converter from a 1965 318poly 727 work. I have one of those laying around.
