I have Flowmaster Deltas on my 64 Polara 413 with headers, sound good at 
idle but they crack at higher rpm. Not TOO loud on the highway. I had 2 
chambers on my 80 El Camino daily driver and replaced them with 3 
chambers because they were too loud. 350 with headers. A lot of the 
noise level depends on the car and engine size and also whether you're 
running headers or manifolds. I think headers make most mufflers louder.
