At last, we have ignition. After owning this 65 coronet for a year and a half, I finally got it running today. When I got it, she ran, but as soon as I got it home my enthusiasm died as we had those huge fires and what with the covid shutdown doldrums, I never really did too much to it other than fixing the brakes. But I have been on a roll for a month, getting lots done. One huge obstacle was that the dash needed to be replaced (hacked up really bad for some "custom" gauges). Luckily it came with a nice core dash and a new wiring harness, but it proved to be a rather daunting task and of course there were setbacks and head scratchings. But finally it seemed it was the moment yesterday, and ...Phhtt! .Dead fuel pump! But I got a new one from Napa this morning and she fired up. Took a little coaxing but she settled right down and sounded really nice. I let it run for about fifteen minutes to look for any leaks or funny smells but it all went pretty smooth, This will be my second poly 318.
