As far as size,2.5-3" isnt bad, but I would not recommend going bigger. Getting back to the veloicty thing with the pipe size. You need alot of motor and fuel intake to run any bigger. Also, check out Jegs.com They have 2.5 and 3" mandrel u and j bends for building true constant ID exhaust pipes. They will flow much better than stock "crinkle bend" exhaust and better than the muffler shops home bent pipes. Doc.
