POR 15 makes a great system for coating the insides of your gas tank. I've  
used it with great results.  
3 steps, there is a cleaner, rust remover, a metal etcher and then a plastic  
coating that you pour into the tank.
You need to take you time turing the tank over and over to keep each step  
coating the entire inside of the tank. If you follow the directions carefully it  
works very well.
