rotate the rear wheel 1 revolution and count number of turns
the drive shaft turns, just over 4 turns 4:10's closer to 3-1/2
than to 3, porbably 3:55's, otherwise it is usually stamped 
on the gear if you have the pumkin out.
as long as you're under there, the number of the case
is on the side ending with 472 for example.
