RE:  stainless steel trim
Depending on the depth of the scratches, I use a 600 grit, followed by an
800 grit, followed by a 1200 grit.  Then I use a stainless buffing product
from Eastwood (optional), followed by a polishing compound on the polish
(very soft) wheel.  I have used this method for years and it produces a very
beautiful finish.

While hanging out in the garage last night, I began to polish the  trim on
my
Belvedere with Flitz.  It's good stuff, but the windshield trim  has small
scratches that need to be buffed with something a little more  aggressive.
Any
suggestions welcome.   Joe
