Sorry if this has already been answered, but a 361 stroker in the subject line got me interested since I have a 361 sitting in my garage with no future plans. I did the math and came up with 399.7ci with a std bore size. With a .030" overbore, it's 405.6ci. So really, a 440 crank in a 361 gives you a long stroke 400.

If your block is ok for an .060" overbore, you could use std 413 pistons (4.18" bore) and that'll net 411.5ci. Love to see the look on someone's face when you tell them you have a 412 motor with 413 pistons. I think my old 361 may have just found a future!
