Good thought. 

The '62 to '63 and '64 to '65 tanks look alike, including the filler 
neck hole location, and the gas tanks measure the same. 

As was pointed out already, the filler necks could be the difference in 
the PN designation. But I suspect the difference is only in length, not 
in the width of the filler neck.
