picked up a 440 from a 73 Chrysler newport or New yorker, still runs, 250 bucks. the stamp on the block says 1972. When i scraped up the pad i was suprised to see no E stamp which i understand means cast crank. I thought for sure this year engine would have a cast crank. can i assume this engine had a steel crank, because of no E stamp. How else , short of tearing the engine down can I tell what the crank is???
