Yup. A friend of mine used an early '70's ('72?) Chebby pickup truck 
lock strip in his '64 Barracuda windshield rubber gasket. The bowtie 
item was not exactly like the original, but worked fine. (It is smooth 
and the original was ribbed, if I recall correctly.)
