Yes, I agree with you and the point I was trying to make is more
to the use of the word 'restored'. I have no problems with
modified, cloned or restified cars all I want is a car to drive, as you
said it's all good.

passion is. If you're an ol hot rodder like me, restored means anything

original to personalized. Most of the time us ol rodder types prefer the

paint and suped up motors.

I think technically your right, "restored" means an original car, but
that term has been
diluted quite a bit in the past few years.

pass it off as an original. You can sure build a hemi cuda from a 318
car much cheaper
than you could buy an original. It is all good, if it is a car....

Is it just me or am I missing something, when I see the term "restored"
I expect the car to be as built, isn't there another term for cars that
have been gone through and have had changes made such as paint or
wheels? Does "restified" fit?

Personally I'm driving a restified clone.
