Wade,
first of all, I appreciate you're gift to the country by serving in the Air Force.
Second, I'm doing a Poly motor, never had a big-block. Envy, man. >>>
anyway, I have a good friend who lives BB's. I get with him as soon as I can.
All I know is, the best bang for you're buck is a good set of exhaust headers.
Glad to have you on the list!!!

Kyle

MoPar Masters,

First an intro, then a question. I'm Wade, in the Air Force and
stationed in Kansas, a newcomer to the list and a proud owner of a '62
Sport Fury 361 car. My pa-in-law (Larry Bode, Bozeman MT) got me hooked
and I'm still learning, have a long ways to go.

Need your advice. I'm going to build a street/strip car, would like to
do in the low-12-second range 1/4 mile but still run around town/highway
on pump gas. I'm planning on building a 500hp+ 440 engine. Will use a
stock block, but I'm considering aftermarket aluminum headers. Would
appreciate any advice on good/bad experiences with these type of headers
(Edelbrock, Indy, MoPar, etc.) - looking to spend max of $1,500. Are
they worth it? Anything I should stay away from? Any good models that
really flow well without sacrificing low end power? If it's easier, I
can call you off-line and I can pick your brain "in person". Appreciate
the help, I'm looking forward to sitting at the feet of you MoPar
maestros (questions about camshafts coming up)!
