If I remember,it isn't too thick either,so laying carpet on top doesn't affect the fit at all.Am I right? Doesn't it come in sheets like 2-3' wide?

You can buy some interior insulation from most street
rod shops such as Parr Automotive in Oklahoma City (
www.parrautomotive.com) or most big vendors at the
shows carry it. Just look for any larger vendor that
deals in street rods. The one I bought is Hot Rod
Insulation from Vintique Inc. and I got it at the
National Street Rod show in OKC. It has a 300 degreee
fire resistant pad and an aluminum shield. It was
fairly cheap also.
