the puller used to pop the drum off. Click on the image and you'll go to 
a page about tapered axles.

Tips: do not remove the axle nut, just loosen it so there is room for 
the drum to 'pop' when it unsticks. Also put some big washers between 
the tip of the piller and the axle. Tighten the puller, whack with a big 
hammer, repeat. When the drum is loose remove the nut and drum.

Use anti-seize on the inside of the drum where the tapered axle slides 
but only use a very tiny amount.

Another "removal" method mentioned here was to loosen axle nut very 
slightly (about 1/2"?) so there is some travel play and drive the car 
about 5mph and take a sharp  L and R and the drums will "pop" loose. 
Drive back to the garage at 5 mph and remove them. Disclaimer: I've 
heard this story a few times, never tried it though.
