When I was growing up, my dad had a 56 Dodge, that
he had rebuilt the motor in, and after baseball
practice we would sometimes race, another parent that
had a 63 Impala, to the local drive-in for Cokes. The
Dodge always won. I can also remember going to the
Chrysler dealer in Oklahoma City with him when they
were demonstrating the Turbine cars. The Chrysler rep
would stand a quarter on it's edge on the hood of the
turbine car and it wouldn't fall over. My dad and I
rebuilt everything from bikes, go-carts, motorcycles,
and cars. This is where I got my gearhead roots.
