Chrysler UNVEILED the Hemi just prior to the '63 Winternats.The race teams were just starting to use the Stage III Maxie at the beginning of the '64 race season.Further,the earliest Hemi car known to exist (Bud Faubel's car) has a build date of 5/23/64.While the casting dates of the blocks etc. may have been in '63 they were not available in '63.
