I put in the lifters on #1 cyl and cranked the motor over, stopping at tdc after the intake valve closed and the piston came up on compression. At this point, the cam gear had the dot at 12 o'clock. It works, but I just thought that it should be at 6 o'clock on the cam gear and 12 o'clock on the crank gear. I'm just over working my brain I guess. I've worked on too many ferd motors that were at the 6 and 12 o'clock positions. Thanks for your help. I'll continue the build.
