If I set the "dot" on the crank sprocket at 12 o'clock and the cam sprocket at 9 o'clock, the #1 piston is about 1/2" down from TDC. I'm putting the crank pully straight up with no advance. Is this normal? I'm assuming the keyways have nothing to do with cam/crank timing. Any help gladly accepted.
