1) I think the area behind the grill was painted flat black. The radiator support on my '64 Plymouth was. Looked like they just shot it real quick as it rolled down the assembly line. Not too neat and just a light coat. 2) Front block area below left head = driver's side??? My block is smooth in this area. The passenger side of the block has a casting mark that looks like 4370 on mine though. No answers on this one. 3) No idea what "130" on the transmission means. Possibly a code for the correct plastic speedo gear to install? 4) Oil pan should be painted engine color. The engines were assembled and then painted. 5) My transmission wasn't painted. No paint on it whatsoever. Maybe yours was rebuilt at one time and the rebuilder painted it. Or someone "detailed" the engine and painted the transmission too. Hope that helps...
