blowby is the results of combustion air slipping past the rings on the 
pistons, causing a positive pressure in the crankcase, usually a bad head gasket 
will be a leak between two adjacent cylinders, can also be between the cylinder 
and a water jacket hole, causing coolant to enter the cylinder, and showing up 
as white smoke coming out of the exhaust, and or overpressurizing the cooling 
system, causing coolant to be forced out of the overflow hose, and on rare 
instances it has gone between the cylinder and a oil passage, causing the
