Hi Dan,

I have hear of the 2.5 and was told they were used in police mod's.  Most of the police mod's were beefed up. One of my friends used to work as a mech. for the MD State Police and he said that is where they were used.

Mine are 2" on my Sport Fury.  I've heard about 2.5" brakes, but I don't know when they were offered, or on what models...

Specifically the 59 PLYMOUTH,,,from SAVOY to SPORT FURY,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

 

Were the 11" brake shoes in front and rear 2" wide or 2 1/2" wide????

 

Were all 59s this way or did early 59s have the skinnier 2" shoes from the 1958 vintage??
