If my memory is still serving me well, the roof stainless pieces will come off without removing the headliner. If you remove the rubber weather-strips that the windows roll up into, this will expose screws that hold the stainless in place. There will be lots of sticky caulking to deal with as there are literally "glued on", but they will come off. You might want to consider replacing the rubber weather-stripping while it is apart. Gary Goers has these as well as other suppliers. Good luck.

You are talking about the wide trim on the roof of the car just above the gutter mldgs correct?
I don't exactly recall and I don't have my SF here that I can go out and look.. I do know on the 57-58's you must pull the headliner so I would guess the same is true on the 59's..

Wow, that's a good question, Ed -- I'm interested to know myself. If you get any replies that don't include the list, please post them here as well.
Thanks
Dan
Hello Group
Before I do something that I may regret----let me ask our members who have done this???
Should I or should I NOT remove the roof stainless that runs from the front windshield to the base of the rear window????
I remember someone saying if it is on well-dont remove it!!
What type of clips hold it and would the headliner have to come down??
THANK YOU
