Hmmm.... I actually have the motor entirely removed.  That's just the motor
mounting bracket you see in this picture:

Even with the motor out of the way, I can't seem to bring that roller to the
end of the track, up or down ar anywhere inbetween.  Is it possible that you
loosened the bolts on the regulator to get it out?
