I think 6 v had same brush arrangement, A vee brush mount via pin with flat vee spring ..

so on this one , vee spring destroyed by rust and the metal ground side brush holder dissolved too

Two small parts held by that pin , might get me there . I have to say , very cool design

While i have pros reading -- anyone ever take off bendix ? i see big screw under spring , but how does pinion half get free , off of shaft ? acts like a snap ring but none in there . ( After removing outer steel traveling gear , all done )

Damn thing has me mystified ; funny thing is I did it years ago

As long as not rusted inside ok , this has only a stud on case , no solenoid on it
Can fix up , -- or parts , armature , bendix for it
