
thanks for reply "starting " to think I can fix old one , so floating this post . My nature to try.. I think 6 v had same brush arrangement, A vee brush mount via pin with flat vee spring .. so on this one , vee spring destroyed by rust and the metal ground side brush holder dissolved too Two small parts held by that pin , might get me there . I have to say , very cool design While i have pros reading -- anyone ever take off bendix ? i see big screw under spring , but how does pinion half get free , off of shaft ? acts like a snap ring but none in there .
